School Dinners

Here at St. Mary's we are very proud to hold the Healthy Schools Status and are always seeking ways to keep improving our school meals provision.

Our school lunches are cooked daily on site and ingredients used are of the highest quality.  We offer children a varied menu to ensure that their nutritional needs are met, including vegetarian options and also meals from around the world.

Your child can choose either a hot meal option, a salad which includes fresh produce purchased locally, or a sandwich.

Also on offer are fresh fruit, raw vegetables, crackers and cheese, raisins, yogurts and sunflower and pumpkin seeds.

Lunches can be ordered on a weekly/termly basis and from September 2014 are free to all children - menus are sent home termly.

Due to the potential risk to allergy sufferers we do not use any form of nuts here at St. Mary's in any cooking process.  We also do not allow children to bring in nuts or products containing nuts into school from home.

As part of our Healthy Schools Status and following Government Guidelines we do not offer any crisps or chocolate (including chocolate biscuits) to children as part of their school lunch.  With this in mind and to provide a consistent approach we would like to request that parents who wish to provide a packed lunch for their child do not include crisps or chocolate (including chocolate biscuits).

You can also order and pay for your child’s school lunches online. This is our preferred method of payment, as we are trying to reduce the amount of cash that comes into the office. If you have mislaid your ParentPay login, please email, or ask at the office, and Mrs Dewar will print you a reminder.
